2016 North American International Auto Show

On Jan 14, I had the pleasure of attending the NAIAS "industry preview" with my good friend Justin K - the owner of Incarnet Motorsport - a local car dealership within the Greater Toronto Area.

THE TRIP

We embarked from Toronto to Windsor on Wednesday night, where a buddy let us crash, so we could depart to Detroit early in the AM.

THE CARS

Below, the cars which really caught my eye. Ordered by highest to lowest price.

2018 Lexus LC 500

Price: ~$100K

2016 BMW M2

2017 Infiniti Q60 Sports Coupe
Engine: 3.0L V6 Twin Turbo Producing 300/400 HP & 295/350 lb-ft
Price: $45K

The one car that I am unfortunately missing is the Acura NSX. It would seem in the next 3 years, there will be an all out war among $100K - 200K super cars. Mainly the Acura NSX vs. Lexus LC 500 vs. Nissan GT-R. Too bad the Audi R8 came out a couple of years ago and got a decent head-start....

Of all the cars, I am the most excited for the Lexus LC 500. As more and more high performance cars move away from the Naturally Aspirated engine, seeing a NA V8 in the mix is exciting. Especially considering how monumental the Lexus LFA ($400K) truly was. Thank God they reviewed their pricing.
